Variety MG11654-24-001 (trade name Merliah) was obtained by crossing the varieties Duke and Ridley 1403. The plant possesses strong growth vigor and an upright or semi-upright bush type, and exhibits resistance to diseases.
The berries are large, with an average weight of about 3.3 g, and are distinguished by their firmness, crispy texture, pronounced bloom, and sugar content of about 13.5 °Brix. The small and dry scar makes the variety suitable for sale on the fresh market.
