Most varieties in the series are compact, branched shrubs ranging from 60 to 120 cm in height. The plants are characterized by a variety of inflorescence forms suitable for cutting and for creating dried bouquets. The intensity of flower coloration depends on soil acidity and light conditions.

Varieties of this series are capable of blooming on both previous year's and current year's shoots. They possess resistance to diseases and pests, as well as winter hardiness corresponding to USDA zones 5 or 6 (-18°C to -23°C), though winter protection is recommended.
