The shrub has an upright compact form with sturdy stems, reaching a height of 1 meter at maturity; when grown in containers, the height is 0.4–0.6 m. The leaves are decorative: in spring they have a purple or bronze-copper shade, in summer they turn dark green, and in autumn they acquire a light red or reddish-purple color.

The mophead-type inflorescences are spherical in shape and a bright carmine-red color. Flowering is abundant, continuing from June to September. The variety is used in solitary and group plantings, borders, and container culture; the inflorescences are suitable for floristry.

The plant requires regular watering and is sensitive to drought. It possesses sturdy stems resistant to lodging. Winter hardiness is assessed as medium to low, down to –23 °C; winter covering is recommended.
