Variety description

The shrub is upright, well-branched, reaching 1.2–1.5 m in height and width. Leaves are dark green, broad, ovate with a serrated margin. Inflorescences are spherical, with coloration ranging from pink or purple-pink on neutral soils to bright blue on acidic soils in the presence of aluminum.

The flowering period lasts from July to September–October with possible partial repeat flowering at the end of summer. The plant withstands temperature drops down to -18°C...-24°C; in cold regions, covering is required.

The crop prefers partial shade and moist, humus-rich, well-drained slightly acidic soils. It is used in single and group plantings, for borders, container cultivation, and for cut flowers.
