Variety description

The shrub reaches a height of up to 1.5 meters and has a dense drooping crown. Young shoots are green with dark brown speckles. Leaves are broadly oval-lanceolate with a pointed apex and serrated margins, reaching 20 cm in length and 12 cm in width.
Inflorescences reach 15–20 cm in diameter. Flowers are odorless, have blue petals (depending on soil acidity) and white stamens. During development, the color of the bracts changes from light yellow to purplish-pink, and by the end of flowering to grayish-green. Fruit is not formed.
The variety is early-flowering; the start of flowering occurs in the second ten-day period of May in southern regions, and the flowering period is long. The plant has high winter hardiness and is resistant to diseases and pests, but is prone to daytime wilting. It is used in landscaping, container cultivation, and for cut flowers.
