The variety is a dense rounded shrub, the height of which varies from 30–60 cm up to 90 cm, rarely up to 1.5 m. The leaves are large, shiny, dark green, and have an ovoid shape with serrated edges. Spherical inflorescences reach sizes from 10 to 20 cm and are colored predominantly in pink or carmine-pink.

Flowering occurs from June–September. Data on the effect of soil acidity on flower color is contradictory: some sources indicate color stability, others — the possibility of lilac and blue shades appearing on acidic soils. The variety belongs to USDA hardiness zones 5–6 and requires covering of flower buds in regions with cold climates.
