The bush of the Splendens variety reaches a height of about 1.5 meters at maturity. The variety is an heirloom and is intended for ornamental gardening.

Flowering is characterized by the ability to change the shade of the inflorescences depending on the soil pH level, which allows for both bright pink and cobalt blue flowers.
