The variety belongs to the species Hypericum inodorum. Although it may be mistakenly classified as Hypericum androsaemum in a number of official bulletins, botanical reference books define it specifically as belonging to the scentless St. John's wort group.

The plant is intended for ornamental gardening and floriculture. The primary value of the variety lies in its decorative berries, which are used for cutting and floral arrangements, as well as in the use of the crop for landscaping in flower beds and hedges.
