The variety is a medium-sized shrub that is valued in landscape design for its ornamental qualities. The plant blooms with yellow flowers, after which striking light green berries are formed.

Successful cultivation requires sunny sites and well-drained soils. In regions with harsh climates, the shoots require winter covering with non-woven material to protect against frost.

This variety belongs to the ornamental species Hypericum × inodorum and is not the medicinal plant Hypericum perforatum used in medicine.
