The Vippzalm variety, known in trade as Cornflakes, is a deciduous shrub about 70 cm tall. The plant belongs to the Hypericum × inodorum group and is valued for its decorative fruits used in floral arrangements.

The main feature of the variety is its high resistance to rust (Melampsora hypericorum), which distinguishes it from many other representatives of the species. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation for cut flowers and landscaping.
