The variety is a breeding strain selected by specialists at Corvinus University in Budapest. The plant is cultivated as an essential oil and medicinal crop, and its aerial part is used in the food, pharmaceutical, and perfume industries.

The main characteristic of the variety is the specific composition of the essential oil. Comparative studies revealed that the content of cis- and trans-pinocamphone in the oil of this variety is almost identical, which distinguishes it from other studied samples of the species.
