Variety description

The Costiujeni tree has a dense, rounded crown with a branch angle of approximately 70°. The variety is characterized by an apical bearing type; grafted saplings begin to yield fruit in the 4–5th year.

Flowering begins in mid-May, which protects the plant from late spring frosts. The conical fruits have a thin shell that is easy to crack and a kernel with a fat content of approximately 70%.

The variety possesses high resistance to diseases and pests and is adapted to arid conditions and various soil types. Due to the firm shell, the fruits are suitable for industrial mechanical processing.
