The variety belongs to the lateral bearing type. Flowering and leafing periods are similar to the Payne variety, however, the crop matures at late dates.
Fruits are large, have a pointed shape and a thick, tight shell. Kernel percentage ranges from 54% to 60% of fruit weight.
The tree is distinguished by its large size and susceptibility to bacterial blight and canker diseases. The variety has been used in breeding to obtain new hybrids, including the Sunland variety.
