The variety originates from the settlement of Ønslev on the island of Falster in Denmark and was included in local breeding collections as a form adapted to regional climatic conditions. It is not a commercial variety and has limited distribution.
The fruits are described as light-colored, medium-sized, with moderate ribbing and good valve closure. The variety is distinguished by the ease of cracking the shell, while the kernel is characterized as very large, although its size relative to the total fruit volume may be small.
