Trees of the variety are medium-sized, usually reaching a height of 5–6 meters, although under certain conditions they can grow up to 10 meters. The plant's crown has a rounded shape, and the leaves are distinguished by a shiny surface.

The fruit has a rounded or flattened shape with a rounded apex and a sweetish taste. The shell is thin, which allows for easy extraction of the kernel. The crop ripens in the second half of September.

The variety name is often used as a descriptive trait for a group of nuts with easily crushable shells; therefore, various forms or seedlings may be encountered under this name in commercial offers.
