The Yellow Line variety is a perennial whose stems have a characteristic striped texture due to light hatching on a dark green background. In some cases, the plant is classified within the spiralis form, however, the question of the consolidation of this trait remains debatable.
The plant prefers moist or marshy soils with a pH level of 4,5–6,5. Optimal placement is in sunny areas or partial shade. The variety is suitable for cultivation in coastal zones of water bodies and as a container crop.
