Codex RZ belongs to the crispy lettuce type with a voluminous dissected leaf structure. The ripening period of the plant is from 35 to 45 days. The rosette forms quite dense and spreading, its feature is easy separation into many individual leaves with one cut.
The plant has complex resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:16-41EU), powdery mildew, lettuce aphid (Nr:0), lettuce mosaic virus and Fusarium wilt. The variety shows resistance to bolting and necrosis. The produce is suitable for mechanized harvesting and has good keeping quality and transportability.
