The variety belongs to the group of multi-divided lettuce varieties. The leaves are thin, medium or very strongly dissected; no head is formed. The level of anthocyanin coloration of the leaves is weak. The average diameter of an adult plant is about 28.9 cm.
The plant is used primarily in the babyleaf segment for obtaining young leaf products. The variety possesses resistance to isolates of downy mildew Bremia lactucae from race 1 to 24. It is also known by the technical designation LE290 as part of the BellaGio series.
