Curtis lettuce belongs to the Batavia type and is characterized by a compact plant volume. The head is open and well-formed; leaves are flexible, green, with a shiny surface. The base of the plant has a semi-conical shape and a dense structure, which simplifies the harvesting process.
The variety is intended for professional production with a recommendation for harvesting in the autumn period and early spring. The plant possesses resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races Bl: 16–27, 30–32) and displays tolerance to tip burn.
