Butterhead type variety that does not form tight heads. Leaves are short, broad, light-green in color with wavy edges; when exposed to low temperatures, anthocyanin shades may appear on them. The plant forms medium-sized rosettes.
Originates from the high-mountain area of l'Espà, which accounts for its adaptability to cultivation in cold zones. The variety is characterized by a rapid development cycle and relative resistance to bolting with the onset of warm weather. The harvested produce has a tender texture but has low keeping quality.
