The variety has a red-brown leaf color. It is known under a number of synonyms, including «Ameriška rjavka», «Amerikanischer brauner», «Americana bruna» and «Amerikansk pluksalat». It is officially classified in the head lettuce category, despite the name indicating a cutting type.
The plant can be grown year-round. The seed germination period is from 7 to 10 days. The recommended planting scheme provides for a distance between rows of 10 to 15 centimeters.
