The plant forms medium-sized, dense, well-closed heads. Leaves have a characteristic appearance with deeply dissected edges, fringes, and sharp serrations. By maturity, the plant reaches a height of about 30 cm and has an upright habit.
The leaves of the variety are dense, succulent, and crunchy. Due to resistance to premature flower stalk formation, the variety retains its texture during hot periods. The crop is used for fresh consumption and is a reference variety for DUS (distinctness, uniformity, and stability) examinations.
