Ivernice belongs to the oak leaf lettuce type and forms plants with good volume. The variety is adapted to difficult climatic conditions and efficient growth during the short-day period.
The plant possesses resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) races 16–31 and to aphid (Nasonovia ribisnigri) race 0. The variety is intended for harvesting in late autumn and winter, and is suitable for cultivation in protected ground under covers.
