Variety description

The variety forms dense, well-closed light-green heads reaching approximately 20 cm in height and width. The leaves are characterized by a tender texture, crunch, and high palatability. Kinemontepas belongs to summer varieties and is intended primarily for summer-autumn cultivation.
Important agronomic features of the variety are high resistance to heat, drought, and late bolting. Previously, the variety was considered a genetic source of resistance to downy mildew, although modern data indicate the ambiguity of this trait in relation to certain pathogen isolates. The produce is used fresh and is suitable for braising.
