The variety belongs to the "Green Oakleaf" type and was obtained by the modified pedigree method as a result of crossing Heart's Delight and Actarus lines. The plant is characterized by a strong habit and glossy leaf shade, and is suitable for whole leaf production.
Intended for open field cultivation, including winter production in Mediterranean climates. Possesses resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:1–28), currant-lettuce aphid (race Nr:0), and lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1).
