The variety is early with a vegetation period of 40–45 days. It forms a compact and dense rosette with a broad closed base. The leaves are light green, glossy, and have a shape characteristic of the oakleaf type.

The plant possesses high resistance to downy mildew (races 16–31, 34, 36), lettuce aphid (race 0), lettuce mosaic virus, and internal necrosis. The variety is characterized by resistance to bolting.

Kiribati is an all-season variety suitable for cultivation in open field, plastic greenhouses, and hydroponic systems. The produce is intended for sale on the fresh market and for industrial processing.
