The Kitsch variety belongs to the green oak leaf lettuce group. The plant forms a compact head with a well-closed base and is characterized by a rapid growth rate.
Sowing periods cover the interval from August 20 to June 15, and planting dates from September 5 to July 1, which allows for harvesting from October to August. The variety possesses high resistance to lettuce downy mildew (races 29–37, 39–41 EU) and lettuce aphid (Nr:0). In field conditions, sensitivity to tipburn and incomplete resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fol:4) were noted.
