The variety belongs to Lactuca sativa var. longifolia. Externally, it is an upright, dense, thick head with green leaves, on the surface of which blisters may appear during maturation.

The weight of a marketable head varies from 497 g to 1500 g depending on growing conditions. The variety is distinguished by high heat tolerance and a late transition to the flowering stage, the period until which is about 86 days.

Lital is intended for cultivation primarily in protected cultivation. It is widely used as an object of agronomic research studying the influence of irrigation and fertilization regimes on lettuce productivity.
