The variety forms an open, medium-sized leaf rosette. Leaves are ruffled, crisp, and succulent, with a deep red-burgundy color. The period from emergence to technical maturity is 35 to 80 days.

The plant possesses resistance to downy mildew (races 1–16, 19, 21, 23), as well as to sunscald. The variety is suitable for cultivation in open field and protected cultivation during the spring-autumn period.
