The variety is intended for cultivation in greenhouses and tunnels. When grown in conditions of short daylight, low light intensity, and low temperatures (2–4°C), the leaves become coarse, crisp, and develop a textured surface and spots. When the temperature rises above 7°C and lighting conditions improve, the tenderness of the leaves is restored.
Studies of the variety's ability to maintain its quality showed that at room temperature (about 20°C) it retains its marketability for a short time, whereas cooling to 4°C significantly extends its shelf life.
