The plant forms a large, heavy head with a large leaf rosette. The leaves are dark green, their surface and midribs are relatively smooth. Distinctive features of the head are a large core diameter and a wide petiole.
The variety possesses high resistance to bolting, which allows for cultivation in warm climates. The variety is also resistant to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) races Bl: 2, 6, 14, 19. Suitable for commercial production, adapted to specific planting schemes in hot regions.
