The variety Rebellion, also known by the breeding number SSC 1536, belongs to the Lollo Rossa type. The plants have a medium-red leaf shade and form a symmetrical rosette with a height of about 15 cm and a leaf spread of about 20 cm. The variety is intended for the production of full-sized heads.

The plant is an open-pollinated variety. Resistance to downy mildew races CA I–V and BL 1–16, 19, 21, 23 is declared. The variety is included in official vegetable crop catalogs.
