The New Red Fire variety belongs to the Summer Crisp (Batavias) type and forms a medium or medium-large rosette. Technical maturity occurs 50–60 days after sowing. The leaves have a saturated dark red-brown color and a crispy texture.
The plant possesses high resistance to premature flower stalk formation and heat, with moderate resistance to cold. The variety is distinguished by high marketability, uniformity of produce, as well as good transportability and field storage capacity during the summer-autumn period.
