The variety forms a large, compact, globular rosette with a diameter of 25–30 cm. The leaves are dark red or reddish-brown in color, with deep folds and a ruffled surface resembling an oak leaf in shape. The leaf texture is tender and juicy; there is no bitterness.
The plant is early-maturing, with a period from emergence to technical maturity of 45–55 days. The variety shows resistance to bolting and a number of diseases; yield reaches 3 kg/m². The crop is suitable for fresh consumption.
