The plant forms loose heads with obovate, deeply dissected leaves. Their coloration varies from burgundy with a light green base to bright green with a purple edge. The leaves have a dense, succulent, and crisp texture, as well as a fresh taste with a slight bitterness.
The variety matures in 55–60 days from emergence and is suitable for multiple cuttings at the baby-leaf stage. At temperatures above 25 °C, it is prone to rapid bolting. Cultivation is possible in open field from April to September, as well as in greenhouses and hydroponic systems under high light conditions.
The recommended planting density is 30–35 plants per square meter for mature specimens and up to 80 plants when grown for greens. In hydroponic conditions, the variety shows sensitivity to soil salinity.
