The variety was obtained as a result of controlled crossing of the genetic lines Funly, Kendai and Blimita. The plant forms an open head, the average diameter of which is about 28.4 cm. The leaves have a broad-obtriangular shape with a rounded tip and pronounced anthocyanin coloration.
The variety shows resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae), including races 1–16 and 18–24, as well as to the lettuce aphid Nasonovia ribisnigri biotype 0. Robinio is used in professional vegetable production, including hydroponic and aquaponic growing systems.
