The plant forms a compact, medium-sized head with good leaf overlapping and a characteristic "fish mouth" type closure. The leaves are light green, slightly blistered. The variety is suitable for sale both as whole heads and for producing lettuce "hearts."

The variety possesses high resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fol: 1, 4), downy mildew (Bremia lactucae), and currant-lettuce aphid (Nr). It exhibits resistance to premature bolting and tipburn.
