The variety Waltrip RZ (index 84-BB1210) forms thick and strong blistered leaves with an upright growth habit. This is a fast-growing variety that shows its best qualities during cool growing periods.
The plant has high resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:29-41EU and Bl:7-10US) and currant-lettuce aphid (race Nr:0). Due to the leaf structure, the variety is characterized by high yield and good keeping quality.
The variety is intended for the production of baby leaf products for cutting. It is aimed at the fresh market and the processing industry, including the production of salad mixes, and is recommended for cultivation in the open field.
