The variety is a small-seeded type with black seed coloration. Agronomically, it is characterized as a drought-tolerant crop capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen and increasing soil fertility. The variety is distinguished by a relatively slow growth rate and competitiveness compared to modern specialized varieties.

In cooking, the seeds are valued for their ability to maintain shape well after heat treatment and for their pronounced taste.
