The Okula variety is an improved lentil variety created in Czechoslovakia. In genetic databases, it is classified as a breeding variety obtained as a result of hybridization of the varieties Moravska drobnozrnna and Pisarecka velkozrnna.

In scientific literature, the variety is used to conduct comparative tests aimed at assessing the variability of yield and the structure of productivity. It is also used in studies for assessing resistance to Fusarium wilt and anthracnose.
