The variety is early-maturing or mid-early, with a growing season ranging from 17–28 to 40–45 days. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, reaching a height of 12–13 cm to 18–25 cm.

The leaves are light green. The plant is noted for pronounced cold hardiness, and its flavor qualities are characterized as pungent and mustard-like.
