The plant forms umbel-like inflorescences of 6 petals. Stem height is 30–40 cm, leaves are narrow, grassy, 15–30 cm long, which often begin to yellow by the flowering period.
Flowering occurs in April. The crop is used as a potted plant or for cut flowers. The plant does not tolerate frost, needs well-drained soil, and requires reduced watering during the dormant period after flowering.
