The plant forms a compact bush with large heart-shaped or kidney-shaped leaves with serrated margins. The leaf blades are dark green, sometimes with a bronze or purple tint, and are dark burgundy on the underside. Sturdy flower stalks often have a reddish-purple color.
Flowering occurs from July to September with golden-yellow inflorescences with a brown center. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness down to -29°C (USDA zone 5) and disease resistance. It holds its shape well without lodging.
It prefers fertile, constantly moist soils and semi-shaded areas. It is optimally suited for planting near water bodies, in mixed borders, and in containers.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
