Variety description

The plant is a low-growing rhizomatous perennial. The leaves are broad-sagittate or triangular in shape with deeply incised serrated margins. When unfolding, the leaf color is rich dark purple or chocolate-brown; later they turn bronze-green with cherry-colored veins.

The flowers are yellow-orange or golden-yellow and are gathered in capitulum inflorescences. The variety has high winter hardiness and disease resistance, and prefers moist soils. Used for planting in mixed borders, shady gardens, and near water bodies.
