Variety description
10 August 2026
The variety is a deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub with a low habit. The leaves have an elliptical shape, dark green color on top, and pubescence on the underside. The plant forms numerous fragrant white flowers in panicle inflorescences and blue-black berries with a bloom, which are poisonous.
The plant is winter-hardy at temperatures down to -15°C, adapts well to urban conditions, and prefers sunny places or partial shade, as well as fresh soils. The variety is suitable for creating hedges and mass plantings, and tolerates summer pruning well to maintain its shape.
Among the possible problems of the variety are susceptibility to infestation by aphids, leaf spot, weevils, sawflies, and the privet hawk moth.
