Altarus lily belongs to the OT-hybrid group. The flower is large, 15–20 cm in diameter, with a uniform bright yellow color transitioning to a lighter tone at the base. There are no spots on the petals, nectaries are green, pollen is orange-brown, and the stigma is purple.

Peduncle height is typically 90 to 120 cm, in some cases up to 135 cm. Leaves are lanceolate. The variety blooms in July–August and has a moderate pleasant fragrance.

The plant is intended for decorative use in group and single plantings, as well as for cut flowers. The variety belongs to the 3rd climatic zone with frost resistance down to -34...-40 °C, which allows it to be left in the soil for the winter in most regions.
