The variety was obtained by crossing seedlings LAOR 93-2 and AC 94-1. According to the international classification, the variety belongs to group VIII(a/b).
The flowers of the variety are characterized by a bright orange color. The inner side of the petals has a saturated orange color, becoming more intense along the central veins and at the edges, while the throat is colored pale orange-yellow. On the outside, the flowers have a light orange shade.
The name Argos was also used by the same breeder for another LA-hybrid lily introduced in 2016; however, the 2003 variety is the officially accepted and registered one.
