The variety belongs to the group of Oriental hybrids. The flowers are bright red with a purple hue, 20–25 cm in diameter, with wavy petals with curved tips, light yellow-green nectaries and stigmas, and reddish-orange pollen.
The plant has a strong upright stem and lanceolate or elliptic green leaves. Stem height ranges from 80 to 120 cm.
The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 4. Successful cultivation requires well-drained, fertile soil, and sunny or partially shaded sites protected from the wind.
