Kaveri variety is the result of crossing Asiatic and Oriental lilies. The plant forms sturdy upright stems 80–120 cm tall with dark green narrow lanceolate foliage. Flowers are outward-facing, reach a diameter of 15–20 cm, and have a golden-yellow color with a bronze-red center and a star-shaped green nectary.

Flowering of the variety occurs in July–August. The plant possesses a fragrance inherited from Oriental hybrids. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, suitability for USDA zones 3–9, and resistance to diseases. It requires well-drained fertile soils with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction and sunny areas with light partial shade.
