Variety description

The flowers of the variety have a color ranging from light blue to violet-blue and are collected in corymbose or paniculate inflorescences. The decorative effect of the plant is provided by dry membranous calyces that retain their color after drying. Stems are erect, branched in the upper part, with leaves in a basal rosette. Plant height is from 45 to 90 cm.
The variety is photophilous, requires sunny areas and well-drained soils, and does not tolerate waterlogging. It is used in landscape design and as a cut flower crop. In temperate climates, it is grown as an annual, as it lacks cold hardiness and is damaged at sub-zero temperatures.
